Thats a good result Ron. But spooky as it may seem I was talking to an old boy on the weekend of your success on Tailbridge who had stopped for a look. He was from the Dover and Folkstone Club and one of the regulars in those comps of long ago. His best memory was beating you on one of the few non drinking tasks, although it was on a spurious technicallity and he still feels a little guilty about it

thanks
Thanks for the kind comments the weather was great with 7-8 mph south west winds and very hot 31c !
The URL from Dave Hunters post was on the Sunday and my flight was 83m
The water depth was about 4-5ft which was much better because you could pick up your glider and walk out with no damage to your wing.
Saturday we jumped with a higher tide so we had less height above the water which made it difficult to get flying.

Kevin Smiths first jump into the channel, well done Kevin !
This was my best flight 85m Iv'e studied the flight and its without doubt my best take off ever ! if we had the full 35ft instead of 25ft the 100m's was on..
It would be nice to run faster but its not easy to control the wing with turbulence from the take off platform.. you must keep your wings level before launch with the odd obstruction in the way.. safety rails, light beacons and the English channel !
