CLUB BBQ milk hope farm

Post by bill-scott »

Following on from previous thread I can now confirm that after extensive negotiations by John Wallis the club has now secured the use of milk hope farm on sat 27th july for our summer BBQ / fun day.
The club will provide the charcoal and some bee,r all you have to do is come along and lob your meat on the fire :o
If you don't like BBQ food then there is also full kitchen facilities available.
There are about twenty beds available in two dorms all with brand new mattresses if you want a bed all they ask is that you bring a sheet so they can keep the beds in good nick as long as possible. If you don't fancy sleeping in a dorm there is plenty of room for tents and vans.
John and myself should be there from about mid day and I have a few ideas for things to keep us all entertained .So what next :?: .
All we need now is YOU:!: this is a fantastic venue in a very beautiful remote part of Northumberland and we are very privileged to get it. In fact we are the only group outside of the education authority ever to be able to use it, so don't miss this great opportunity for a great do .
I know im going on a bit but we are getting a little bit paranoid that not many will turn up as I know a few of you are away.
So come one come all, its a big place and could easily cope with a hundred people or more lol so bring along all the family kids' parents 'aunts. uncles, cats. dogs, and budgies the more the merrier I know a few of you have said already on the previous thread that you are coming but please ad your names again here if you are coming and how many in your group, it will help john and myself get things organized if we have some numbers
IF your not coming you will have to provide a doctors note or death certificate at the next meeting so looking forward to seeing you all there and having a great time :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

As this is my 1st year at the club I like to be there but the wife has ran away to turkey as has the mother and my daughter.
So relative freedom   , unfortunately have to work late as well. :( :( :( :(
Will try to close early, don't tell the wife or the bank man.
A bed to put head down will be greatly appreciated if available or will just have to rough it.......

As we get nearer can I ask who is allocating the bunks? The reason I ask is that I am carrying on up north for a holiday. I put my name down for two bunks and due to space constraints ( P.A. Guitars, tambourines etc) cant get tents etc in the car. The momentum is building and would be grateful for confirmation....

Thanks Bill, my understanding is that John is allocating bunks. I have already agreed with him as I am heading to Scotland for a weeks holiday and don't have space for tents, cheers.

There's 2 rooms and 20 bunks so plenty space as long as you don't mind others snoring :) Don't forget to bring a sheet or blanket to keep the mattress clean that's the only stipulation.

Loads of space to the rear and side of the farmhouse for tents

Brian if you can play the Eagles classics I'll be in heaven :)

If snoring bothers you take some ear plugs. I've done it for years on snowboarding trips & it works a treat
