Elk's Head Whitfield

I always used to give this place a wide berth on the way back from Cross Fell as it was crap. I decided to give it another go as the food in the Cumberland arms has been rubbish the last few times coming back from the Lakes. The food in the Elk's Head is now excellent and I've called in five times to have their Thia Green Curry which is fantastic as are the other dishes on the menu, the chef is excellent. They also have a card that you get stamped each time you have a meal and you end up getting a bottle of house wine it's well worth a look in on the way home.
