does anyone know of a good plumber in newcastle area
I need to get my shower fixed ( not electric) but would rather give someone i know the work or at least someone who comes recommended as opposed to trawling through the yellow pages.
The shower is an Elsan. Probably 10 years old or so.
If anyone has a regular plumber they use and would be happy to recommend them that would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Glenn

aye its an elsan with a large on-off mixer tap. i was switching it off last night and heard a click and then it wouldnt turn off at all. the splines on the brass mixer tap shaft and the white plastic control tap are buggered but its been getting harder and harder to turn on and off recently.
theres a very small adjustment screw under the brass screw with the o ring that i had to turn back as at one time it only put out cold/cool water.
dont know where the stop taps are to it so i could fit a service kit though.
its a pain as our landlord is 6000 miles away. might have to do it meself afterall.
can you suggest anything neil?

here are a few pics. The splines on both the tap and the brass shaft are knackered and the whole mechanism is pretty stiff. Fnarr Fnarr!
Do crosslings sell to the public? Just up the coast road from me so pretty handy really if they do.
