How can I convert google earth files .kml back to .igc files? I only have gpsdump on the computer at present.
Or is it possible to upload google earth files to OLC?
Thanks.

The two disciplines are too complimentary for that. I'm not looking forward to ageing and losing the ability to go rigid.
I'm going to give this a try

I think if you convert back to an IGC tho it isnt valid for competitions as software can tell its been tampered with, not sure...

You can convert between just about any GPS file system you can think of using GPSBabel
http://www.gpsbabel.org/
The .igc file type is called 'FAI/IGC Flight Recorder Data Format'

I don't think you can create a proper IGC file out of any KML.
KML files essentially contain (X,Y,Z) points - they don't normally have time stamps for each point or a G-record (digital signature)
However a KML file created by gpsdump might have all that information built in - I certainly have seen times for each point in a separate section of a KML file. Not sure about the G-record. With these extra bits it should be possible to create an IGC.
