Crap weather options

Post by John Wallis »

Three weeks ago I decided to walk Hadiran's Wall as I was sick of the crap flying weather every weekend. Below is the photo diary if anyone feels like they would like to have a look through. It's not the type of walk I usually go in for but I have to say it was fantastic and I thoroughly recommend doing it. I've got to say it was much harder than I expected, not just the walk but the logistics of getting back to the car or home. It says 83 miles end to end, I reckon you can add another 1/4 on that easy. Anyway have a look and see how many places you recognise.

Brilliant pics John!

Have you got any of the car park gates in Carlisle?? :D :D :D :D

And take a look at some of the ridges between Chollerford and Greenhead.

Sewing Shields for instance......

Over 1km long.

Imagine flying right along the top of the wall........

Next time we have a decent northerly.....
It is sad to measure your life in terms of hours flown...... but even sadder not to.........

Ahhh the Park Gates at Carlisle :(

Yes Sewing Shields is in hand Alastair. Our sites officer is on the case. It's a potential record breaking site.
