well looking at the next few days it looks like saturday will be a wash out and windy, but sunday is looking bright and sunny with expected winds between east north eas and north. it does give fairly light but i wouldnt hold my breath given it will be low pressure. would love it to be north so i can fly the hg and pg the coast is could be good as well or carrock fell so we could be spoilt for choice.
though tommorow is a stable building day so if anyone would like a day out at the farm just give me a call
cheers gary
will it or wont it for sunday

All the forecast I've seen (except BBC) suggest NW - NNW wind, quite fresh in the morning and easing off later from the West (i.e. eastern parts of the area will have some wind for longer).
I think of going to Fastheugh Hill, but I haven't spoken to Tommy yet - it's his site. Fastheugh Hill is a massive NW bowl with an almost civilised vehicular access to the top, normal cars should cope alright but 4x4s may have an edge after Saturdays rain. Bottom landings are a little funny for HGs but very easy for PGs.

The forecasts I have seen agree with Sergey, I was thinking maybe Clough for Sunday, but who knows anything could change. Tonight was supposed to be howling northerlies, but there's hardly been a breath on the water. The water temp is actually warmer than the air tonight, winter is on it's way
See you out there!!!!!

well like you say could be windless but i would say it still low pressure sunny i would'nt be surprised if is blown out for pg and perfect for hg. i still think model could be a good place as ne going through nw. let the winds decide and hopefully sunday morning will give all what we need. and a nice little 65mile drive would be nice but if it it has to be a 100 then a 100 it will be. lets hope its the rs this weekend

Where will you aerotow? I'd be up for that if they'll honor my USA rating.Sergey wrote:Will be thinking on Sat night, chances are Sunday will be quite windless so may opt for aerotow in that case! Look at the chart - there's not much pressure gradient to cause wind on Sunday, and if forecasts get it off by only a few hours - we'll have virtually no wind at all!
