well it was good to be with ali when i fly 16k and he flys 85k seems like some kind of deja vous for me as the last time i flew with ali in the dales the same thing happend. what would of been a great advantage was to have my radio headset working so i could comunicate and realise the tactics. i have never been in such lift on any flight in any country, my only escape at times was deep spiral or be taken to the top of the cloud.
after having to go full spiral twace i decided to move on for safety incase of collision with otheres so whent on a glide thinking that it was nothing more than a formality to catching more lift. how wrong you can be and shows how much i have to learn in big xc flying. as i am finding out getting to base is the easy thing, it's what you do when you get there that counts, as ali proved today.
well it was great to see ali showing that he is still the boy, nice one ali.
still a great flight and a lot learnt, with another notch in the post and hungry for more.
cheers gary
well kettlewell proved to be the place to be for some
