Public / Private forum?

Post by AlastairW »

Please remember that everything that is typed on here..... ie the section of the forum open to the General Public..... is available for the whole world to see.

People can even post links to our forum and post them on other websites.

Personally it was not my idea of what the forum is about. My view is that this is a forum for NHPC members primarily.

I would prefer we went back to the old Private / Public layout rather than the current Public/Private layout that we have.

ANyone have any thoughts?
It is sad to measure your life in terms of hours flown...... but even sadder not to.........

So here's the stupid question, why was it changed in the first place? :???:
Handle every stressful situation like a dog.
If you can't eat it or play with it,
Just pee on it and walk away.

Because all the talking went straight into the 'Private' section. Anybody looking for para/hang-gliding clubs would come across the web site and think
"what a boring group of (swear) - they don't talk to each other - I'm off have a go at something else!!"

At least this way, most of the chat goes 'by default' into the top 'public' section, and we can be seen as lively, generous, sweet-talking, likeable and above active club. (F) (h) (F)

You can still insult/plagiarise/slander/ or generally throw your dummy out of your pram in the private section without fear of upsetting anyone outside the club :!:
