British Club Champs!
Just had Alistair Wolf on the phone. The final has been blown out and because we are the leading club we have been declared British Club winning team 2007!!!!!!!
Congratulations to ALL those who took part and to the supreme effort from Alistair for the organisation and effort in getting a team to each round.
I think there's going to be a few sore heads tomorrow morning!

What can I say?
Well.. "OUCH MY HEAD HURTS!!!" would be a good place to start……. But we will come to that later…..
We set of for deepest Wales Thursday evening, Ali and myself driving down to stop in a travelodge in Shrewsbury, Gary and Neil taking the happy camper down all the way to the Mynd. By all accounts they had a good evening… not retiring till after 2, having consumed half a wine box between them.
Up bright and early… Gary was actually flying at 6:55 on Friday morning! Ali and I arrived about 8:45, to find the wind picking up. The wind speed was cycling from 14mph to 25mph about every 20 minutes. We sat and waited. And waited. And Waited.
Ron Don and Brian turned up.
We waited some more.
Eventually at abo0ut 4pm the wind dropped to a consistent 17 mph. Off we went, staying well out in front, and eventually connecting with a climb that took us to base at 2500ft.
After a great couple of hours we set of for Llandinam, and the comp.
Tents pitched, into the pub for a few pints and a bite to eat. Back to the happy camper van to polish of the rest of the wine box… and then to bed, with the wind howling all around us.
Saturday was blown out, and because of the dire forecast for Sunday, the decision was made to can the event, which resulted in us as league leaders picking up the silverware!
Now back to the cause of the headache…… We decided to party, and as Gary has already alluded to, we were up till at least 3am, singing, swimming and generally showing the others how to enjoy themselves….
For a taste of our merriment take a look at:

Photos will follow on the board.
Many thanks to all who turned out on what was forecast to be, and indeed turned out to be a miserable weekend weather wise.
And many thanks to all who have competed in the various rounds, and even just turned up and not flown.
We are the Champions!!

It is sad to measure your life in terms of hours flown...... but even sadder not to.........
