Sites guide

Post by Fingers »

The sites guide was in development but like I have said I don't have time at the moment to finish it.

A sites guide link in the navigation, a wind rose and the info for all sites a little like this eg that I have quickly put together is all that is needed to finish it

http://www.nhpc.org.uk/nhpc/modules.php ... Dview=8836

The link for BEFORE YOU FLY <Please read important notices> would link to a page that the sites officer would ad things like Lambing, events, temp closures etc etc

This club is run democratically Ronnie.

We have a sites officer who speaks to the Farmers ON BEHALF OF THE CLUB.

I seem to remember you making a great fuss earlier on in the year about lambing dates being published on the forum, and not having been cleared with the sites officer first.

Now you are suggesting that you are going to speak to the farmer directly without having first raised this at a monthly meeting, or having spoken to the sites officer!!!!!

Feel free to totally give up Ronnie, but do not interfere with the running of OUR club.

But over the lambing dates you were all for democracy and going through the right channels... ie the sites officer.

You were all for the democratic process then Ronnie.

I as the democratically elected Chairman of the club made an executive decision.

Now because you are unhappy with something, you as a member of the club, not even on the committee, are going to approach a farmer about club business, without having cleared it with the committee or sites officer first??

I like your concept of democracy Ronnie. I presume you are watching Big Brother.

I think you’d best leave that up to the sites officer Ronnie, you would probably do more harm than good, especially with the objectionable opinion you have about the sites going on line.
Chill out man Ron, I’m sure you will come to appreciate it once up and running, look at this website now its terrific, and to think not long ago we didn’t even have one. (i'm sure you would have objected to it)
Its change Ron, and its for our good, a sure way to lose sites is to go ranting and raving to farmers about the wicked member’s that are advertising to attract the millions to his site.
We have a sites officer elected for any dialogue between farmer’s and our club, I’m sure all things will be looked at, and land owner’s permission sought, so please don’t go stirring the shite.

What are you on about Ron? Steve has put a massive amount of work into our club web site. I tell you what, if it was me I would pull the plug on all your advertising you have on the site you dont have a good word for anyone. I think you need a psyciatrist, you are insane and you are the demise of this pleasant club community.

Alastair, you as chairman never consulted with our site officer about the lambing issue, Steve has no permission to put the site guide on line and he has done it (East hill) so don't give me a hard time for being well pi..ed off.

Mr Telford should know about this before anymore damage is done, or get it taken off until we do have permission.

I will go and tell Mr Tellford
(inlove)

Thanks for that Ron, I think this is great.... I feel like I am 12 again.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE

Think this through, take a little time out, come back and then comment.

FACTS

These sites are already known to all the rest of the flying comunity.

The info on them is not correct at best.

There is NOTHING you or the FARMERS can do about this infomation about there land being on other peoples sites.

Providing the correct information on a current basis is the responsible thing to do.

YOU ARE ONLY ONE MAN IN A DEMOCRATIC CLUB.

Should we have an On-Line Site Guide (This is not official)
Yes an on-line site guide would be beneficial to the club
92% [ 24 ]
No an On-Line site guide would not be beneficial to the club
7% [ 2 ]

Total Votes : 26
Ron Freeman.... This above is democracy will you agree with that? Probably not.

I wonder how much you would have moaned about the farmers if someone else was trying to start a powered towing operation in Ingram Valley instead of you. Noise, fumes, loose wires, danger to livestock to name a few.

I guess the fact that no one has gone to the farmer or the wardens with the poison chalice is because they want to see your school progress and do well. I'm sure the National Park and the RAF would be concerned at the possibility of a £20M low flying Tornado being brought down by wires.

See the clip of a Tornado heading south over east Hill

http://home.btconnect.com/western-way/easthill.wmv

When you go to see the farmer and tell him about the dangerous nasty site guide...You may wish to mention that your operation might bring down a Tornado on his house and farm. Ask which one he thinks might be a problem.

There is a procedure when using the winch you should know that !

How many times have you n.o.t.a.m ? I will see Mr Telford anytime I like
my school has agreements also. What Steve is missing on is that we can be stop flying at anytime on any of our sites.

I do like the winch very much and I'm very pro you having your school. I was just making a comparison between how dangerous the farmer would see the site guide compared to you running 2000 foot of wire in a low flying corridor.

Go and talk to who you want Ronnie I'm convinced you will be the demise of this club with your attitude.

The democratic process is in hand and there are people working very hard on behalf of OUR club. I feel I best post no more and let the committee and our very skilled members do their stuff.

Actually John, the club has had a web site since about 1996, one of the first clubs in the country to have one......

Attitude ?

Post by ron freeman »

I decide not to mention anything to Mr Telford about what Steve has done. I am staying well out of it and I am very happy with the agreement I have with the land owner.

The school is doing fine and there will be more membership coming in !
