Lakes bash & bbq booking form

Post by Steve.T. »

It's now only two weeks to go until the best paragliding event this side of the equator - the Annual Lakes Charity Classic and Buttermere Bash CSC party. It's time to get yourselves revved up, dust of that old wing that has sat unused for the last few weeks and bring it and yourselves for an airing in one of the most beautiful flying areas this planet of ours have to offer.

This year the CSC committee has worked tirelessly to evolve this great event of ours into an even bigger and, dare I say, cooler event. By gaining access to an amazing field on the shores of Buttermere we have got the most picturesque location you could ever achieve for such an event. What we now need is you and your friends to come along and help make this event as big a success as possible.

On Saturday the 2nd June we will host our Annual CSC party. Starting at around 6p.m. we will have acro pilots flying off over the lake and putting on the U.K.'s first ever acro comp for your entertainment. In the meantime, any pilots who wish to can also fly into the gig and land on the field.

From 7p.m. until 9 p.m. we will be serving a huge barbecue/ buffet meal. Tickets for this are £5 and must be pre paid to Simon Raven before the event.

(Please, please, please pre book as we need to have some idea of numbers).

We will have a bigger bar then ever with 1500 pints of real ale to swallow and alco pops / wine for non 'beer heads'. Our aim is to make a great beach party type feel to the event. At 9p.m. the presentation will take place for the LCC followed by our band doing a long set until about 11pm when our D.J.'s will take over and rock us through until about 3a.m.

This is a huge event and we need your support to make it work. Please come along bring your friends and enjoy this unique opportunity to have a flyers party in the most beautiful part of the Lake District National Park.

Cheers,

Gordie

'Butt Bash' Organiser

P.S Free camping is available on the Saturday night in the 'party field'. For the location of the event please see the attached plan.

Gary my man, let me know if you have any requirements if you decided to come. Jimi Saville type chair set up by the decks, anything that would aid your comfort and make it posable for you to come. I will make sure its sorted for you, be great to see you and your smiley face if you could make it.
