The XC League table

Post by ron freeman »

Can the XC league be only used for flights that qualify for the National XC League ? why are we using it for a personal flight log ? we do have a 'flight Log' section for members.

The summer XC league starts on the 1st April 07 to the 31st 0ct 07 it would be nice to see the league for theses dates without having to have a computer degree to work it all out...

The annual trophies that are up for grabs could be done the same way ? Have a section for each of them, with the flight that is currently winning that trophy...

I'm sure Steve M can sort this at a click of a button.. 00)

Positive feedback welcome, Ta for noo.

The League as a league as you see it here http://www.nhpc.org.uk/nhpc/modules.php ... 1&clubID=0 works from year to year starting 01/01 ending 31/12

You can just the filter http://www.nhpc.org.uk/nhpc/modules.php ... &op=filter to find all the flights in a given date range.

This unfortunatly does not then make a league, it lists all the flights.

HOWEVER!

You can order this list of flights by "Open Distance" or "OLC km" or "OLC score" to find the best flights depending on how you want to score THEN you could filter this list also by pilot to find the best 6 flights for a pilot for a given date range. Its not as easy as the year to year league as this is all there to look at. But it is easy given a practice and a little clicking around to work out the results of the Winter and Summer Leagues.

Deleting all the flights to only have the winter or the summer league flights will not work as this will effect the yearly league as well as destroying all records of the site records and the flights that others can use to study and see what is possible.

The XC league is perhaps a misnomer.

NHPC XC flight log would be better.

it is good to be able to compare peoples flights, not only in this country but also abroad..... for example there are a number of people who have flown petit tours at Annecy. It is really interesting to be able to compare these flights, on different days and different months, and see that the lift still occurs in exactly the same place.....
It is sad to measure your life in terms of hours flown...... but even sadder not to.........
