I Completed the Hadrian’s cycleway for cancer research on Monday, We were lucky that the weather was mostly on our backs as it was very windy all three days. The first day from Ravenglass was 82 miles and the lack of training on my behalf really showed --- I had an arse like a baboon!
Eight bottles of Magner’s and a hearty meal sorted me out for the following day --- about 50 miles from Burgh on sands to Once Brewed.
We made excellent time on all three days and ended up finishing at Tynemouth by 2pm on Monday, a thoroughly enjoyable ride apart from the noise and smells at night. I’m not sure of the total raised as yet, but I will keep you posted, thanks to all who gave support it is very much appreciated by the Hacel Lighting Cycling Team.
Nice one john and well done Ill bet that first day hurt a bit with out much training Any how you ll have to let me know what we owe yer. By the way the tour De France starts in London this year if you still feelling fit
