Its with great thanks to his Grace the Duke of Northumberland and our Cheviot Sites Officer Christine Nicholls that we can announce that we have re-negotiated access to Lordenshaw. Contact is also being made with the gamekeeper so that there is no confusion over what permissions we have. So far the only restrictions in place is a No fly June/July/August for setting birds and shooting. More details will follow soon.
If Acro was easy they'd call it Cross Country

Above Rothbery on the eastern edge of the Simonsides. Not a great soaring site but very good xc potential.

Fantastic news indeed great achievement and let's hope it gives us the chance of a Cheviots record however for caution and to minimise potential problems should this be a members only site? As personally I do think it's potential is massive and know there is very few othe NE sites for XC opportunity

Wow! Brilliant news. A big thankyou to Christine.
Is it worth thinking through some self imposed site rules, similar to the ones I mentioned before so that we can keep everybody happy? A bit of debate for the site guide on the private section might be worthwhile.

Well done Christine. :D
Give that this is a sensitive site should we make this a members only XC site?
