Hi folks,
Are there any BHPA qualified tandem pilots in the club that would be happy to do some flying with me as part of the run up to my qualification? I did a fair bit a while back but it was all unofficial. I need to get some pointers and brush up on techniques and basically have a few flights with some of you experienced guys,
I'm Newcastle way this weekend if you fancy it - I'd be keen to go up as ballast too!
Cheers

Thanks
Cheers Guys,
Sorry Brian - I got swamped with work and moving house type things - I'll give you a ring shortly! Also thanks to Mehdi, would be great but apparently the BHPA has just tightened up on the requirements so I need an approved pilot to help me out and build up the logbook,

what it does show, it may be freak but it did happen and its not the first time quite a few people have been killed as a result of getting pulled up while helping. even one in Scotland 4 years ago when one brother was helping the other with no experience he was killed. surprising what happens once your pulled up fear hold you on and then its too late to let go.
not always a nice bushy tree to go into and not sure what the final outcome was

Pilots responsibility
If the dual Pilot decides he wants a helping hand to get off he must make sure that the helpers know what they are doing..
Why the helper hung on is a mystery ?

I dont think the pilot had much control Ron. With all that weight hanging on one riser the glider turned towards the hill. ! If all ok..... Very lucky.
