http://freeflightacademy.com/events/italy-abruzzo-2015/

I'm just back from another well organised week with Lee and Akis in Morocco. Conditions were too stable for any epic flying nevertheless we still managed to fly everyday, plenty of groundhandling practice and got my brand new crispy glider absolutely hacky 😎 Overall I had a great time in deepest Morocco visited some interesting places with some lovely interesting people and will probably go back to what is known as 'Nigel's Place' again

But we were all so busy during the week we didn't get much chance to discuss any finer detail about Italy next year. However Lee told me there are 2 nice little restaurants in the village and plenty to choose from a little further afield. There are also 2 little supermarkets in the village so self catering and communal cooking is another option. Photos of our accommodation will appear on the above web link soon and I've no doubt it'll be top notch and value for money. Note there are no spare places.

So as a quick update the two next steps are as follows.

We need to pay £150 deposit each sometime soon and before end of this year. This confirms our booking and ensures NHPC possee have exclusivity on accommodation and transport etc for the whole week.
Bank transfer details are
Bank: HSBC
Name: Free Flight Academy - Lee Tryhorn
Sort Code: 40-44-48
Account Number: 11533738
If we reference the transfer with NHPCITY16GS (final two letters being your own initials) that should help them keep check. Balance will need to be paid a week or two before we depart.

If anyone wants to ask Lee & Fiona any questions please feel free to contact them on lee@freeflightacademy.com otherwise I'm happy to help.

Another thing is to decide what we are going to do the night before we fly to Rome? Great shout from Graeme G for the 5 free Ncl to Edin and return rail fares which will cut costs for all! Thank you Graeme.

My understanding is that Graeme G, Angus, Brian N, Mehdi and myself will be travelling by train and require cheap overnight accommodation? And Brian R, Moira, Ged, Eddie and Helen are making their own arrangements to the airport?

For those of us staying overnight in Edinburgh area we need to decide what we want to do.
- Stay in Edinburgh city centre and have a wild night out in town then get a taxi to airport in the morning?
- Or book a room nearer to the airport and have a quiet bite to eat in a local pub instead of going to town saving on taxi costs too? This is my preference.

Please confirm above asap and I'll have a scout around for a cheap room as this is a bank holid at weekend and we'll need to arrange something sooner rather than later.

Just so everyone aware we depart on the end of May bank holiday weekend meaning we will miss the CSC LCC in Grasmere next year.

Cheers Graeme, great update.
Bummer that we'll miss the LCC but hopefully we'll have great conditions for a week of amazing flying!
I'm happy with a quiet night closer to the airport or a "mild" night in Edinburgh, whatever the majority want (y)

Chaps - I made an executive decision to stay in central Edinburgh just around the corner from Waverley station. This means we have only the one taxi to book for our trip to the airport in the morning. We have a 6 berth dorm sleeping the 5 of us - very cosy don't forget your ear plugs.

Prices for B&B nearer to the airport were excruciating nor were there any rooms sleeping 5. So total cost for 5 in this hostel dorm is £62.50 - £12.50 each. Taxi to the airport is a 20 min journey and an online check suggests about £20 no more than a £5er each - unless we need to book a mini bus taxi for all our kit maybe a little bit more but should be ok.

See below email confirming the booking - so that's about it now until nearer the time.

Booking Type: Non-flexible Booking
Date Room Details Per Bed Pax Total
Sat 28th May 2016 6 Bed Mixed dorm £12.50 5 Beds £62.50
TOTAL (taxes included): £62.50
16% Deposit: £10.00
Service Charge: £0.00
Charge on Card (Service Charge + Deposit): £10.00
Amount Due On Arrival: £52.50

Hi guys..... just in case you don't know the LCC will be at Grasmere next year and will be in July, as a flying comp.
The Butteremere Bash will still be going ahead on the normal weekend for those who want to Party.
Cheers

Please could you advise anyone apart from the 3rd party insurance we get from BHPA as a yearly member what type of cover do you seek or ask for when flying abroad, Is it adventure sports cover if you where flying regularly abroad. What type is the question.
