fantastic flight steve you look like you took the thermal that i so stupidly left early then must have flew over my head just after i landed as you landed 20minutes after me. would of been funny if we had ended in the same field if i had taken the thermal to the top. what height were you on the last thermal as you went another 20k but must have now been in the sea air with a head wind or did you not get this untill below 400magl?

Didn't notice you until just before you landed. ( I didn't see anyone else after about 8k from take off except for a sailplane straight lining the convergence ) I wished I had some photos with the cloud 2000' below, but I can't use my camera with gloves on, and it was too cold to take them off.
Where you were, I could see the wind at ground level was Easterly. At 3000' it was Westerly and formed the usual wedge shape. As you say, 400m seemed about right before it changed. I was debating whether to cross the Humber or not, as there wasn't a lot of sun getting through and the clouds didn't look active and it would have made retrieves a lot harder for just a few k extra distance.
Steve Mann landed on his atos at Roos, just North of Withernsea.
Thanks to Dave Hume again for the retrieve who picked us both up.
As you mentioned, Livetrack sounds very good and I will have a look at this.
Also I must start using the radio again.
