Tonights Meeting

Post by John Wallis »

That was one of the most informative interesting and well presented talks I've listened to in a long while. I don't think I;ll ever see the Lakes in the same way ever again at least where convergence and sea breezes are concerned.

Really enjoyed it and even Mad Dog stayed until the end !!

Thanks Ed

Totally agree Inspirational I'm off to try some of the Western sites as soon as I get a chance
Heres the video that Ed mentioned http://youtu.be/J7Zm3G57IZ8
Its from April this year flying from Blease to Grisedale Pike via Skiddaw
A good day :)
Feel the fear and do it anyway!

Ed's talk

Absolutely top draw, loads of info and as Chris says I’m inspired to try to fly more of the places and routes we tend not to visit. Talking about the different sea breeze effects there was much food for thought, I particularly liked Ed’s reflective style balancing his thoughts on how things work with the ideas of other pilots.
A really good night

ps nice vid too

sure was a great and really informative seminar, and shows how complex this flying lark is.

Thanks for your comments guys, always a pleasure to come to a beautiful city, meet old friends and get a warm Geordie welcome. Incidentally, last night I watched 'Bouncers,' which was based on Jesmond - I might have been scared off by the tottering totty and their capacity to drink yet remain semi upright whilst on the prowl!

See you on the hills fellas :)
