Blue Monday in Lanzarote

Post by Dave Hume »

So yesterday is supposed to be the most depressing day of the year known as Blue Monday. Well not for our lads hang gliding in Lanzarote. Steve Gill, Bob Sutherland and Ali Johnston were out flying in perfect conditions at Famara, the most spectacular site on the island where the sheer cliffs rise some 2000 feet out of the crystal blue sea. Steve and Ali both managed the full 27 mile out and return with Bob getting about three quarters of the way on his first flight in 2 years. Steve reported being in the air for over three and a half hours.

Me of course I'm really happy for the guys. Yeah, well chuffed and not at all jealous......honest :( :(
