Post by RichardC »

I saw a brief news report about a paraglider pilot crashing at the weekend see: http://www.grough.co.uk/magazine/2012/1 ... head-crash
Any idea how they are?

i believe the guy is out of hospital today wearing a spinal corset so must be ok, i have heard that there will be a head cam shot at some point but was a speedflier from out the area.

there was another bad accident at parlick on saturday and he was airlifted as well so busy weekend for the helicopter. a reason for never being complacent near the hill as this is where it bites most.

height is your friend unless it is very stable

My friend in weardale mountain rescue heard about the one in the lakes, he said the quy was a southerner visiting.
If Acro was easy they'd call it Cross Country
