Just reflecting light!

Post by MadDog »

How this past year has flown….
I only wish that I could say the same thing about myself
Someone must have coated the narrow neck of the Egg-timer with Teflon this past year ‘cos that sand has just slipped through like gang busters…and we’re all a year older, and greyer, but without the airtime that was ours by right….
Just what can you do?
I would like to send this year back….but I just can’t find the receipt….
And to think. not tomorrow but the day after is the shortest day….you had better not lie in too late, or you just might find that the day is already gone and got itself over with….
And you haven’t even got out of your jim-jams
It’s true isn’t it?......It’s life on a super bike…and you just haven’t got the words to stop it….
January, February, March away
April, May, but I doubt it.
June, July…All left on a horizon of fickle winds..
Too think that this time last year I was only twenty three!
My thoughts go out to all those in our club, who have had children over this past year….and just like your mother before you, come Xmas morning, with your little one all aglow…you will be wishing that he/she was just that little bit older and could understand things better….Please don’t wish their lovely lives away so soon…show a little bit of kindness, and let those ten thousand smarties and jelly tots that you have wished for them, hold back the inevitable for that little while longer!
And have yourself a merry little Xmas while you a doing just that…
And to think…I used to believe in Santa Clause myself…..
I think it was only last year; When Ron-Don came down the chimney, wearing Molls old red flannelette nightie, and stole all of my presents, that eventually made me see the light
And just in case you have forgotten…I am holding a recluses party this year over the whole of the Xmas holidays….if you should find yourself passing my door…..
Then just keep on passing!

Now just what can I use for a little picture?
How about this one. Penguins on High Cap...prelude to mating?
And just who is going to spoil it all, by replying with their forty foot pictures..happens every time...

Well I for one will not just be passing by, I will be up your path and rat-tat-tat on your front door and have a wee-dram with you and one of those lovely pies you won at the club do.

All the very best John, from Molly and Me.
