its the taken part and not the wining though that is bullshit, if i am competing i like to win and this is why a dont normaly compete.
still one of my best flights though a bit more stamina and not been the first off the hill might make life easier, however in 43 years i have never been a follower, as leading had been my way. so for competitions you will either boom or bust and more likely bust.

still great comp and learnt a lot about the lakes

You are like other Keene pilots at the LCC Gary, flew well, but did not get the rub of the chalk!

i was not refering to me as i new i mist goal by 50 yards day 2 however i am surprised that pilots who where in goal day 1 and day 2 were not way ahead of the day 2 results.

obviously a ridge run must score higher than a out and return?

Unlike other comps this years comp was simply scored on position. I had wanted to use race but this program is not always that stable and I could not chance it throwing its toys out and then not being able to resolve it. However I have already spoken with Calvo and I can assure all we will have a better system in place for next year

interesting stuff and good learning curve on competition flying, and must get out of my head that been first in goal does not mean first place. so litern to the task properley and thank god my goal field had not changed as when you land 50m2 short as not to land in a field with horses i dont think i would of done that if i knew i would of made it. next time i set competition route i will set the radius as i thought it was 1k for goal field

For task 2 The times stopped 1km out but you still had to make it into the 400m radius to complete,.
Still I feel for the guys that have missed on the declared record role call especially those that have fallen foul of the height loss rule 3metres is a tough lesson

You were not the only one Richard, - I did say it was important not to glide into the goal but plan to cross it at height. However my motive for that was for pilots not to get caught out in the seabreeze with little options for a clean safe landing.

As Gary says all interesting stuff and good learning curve on competition flying
