Not me !
I don't have a favorite flying area Ali.. any hill will do me because I really enjoy the challenge of trying to get to cloud base from any hill

Dales for me, the hills are smaller but have good potential for xc without too much sea breeze/airspace/grouse/horses to ruin the day.
Dales pilots are good crack too, good pubs and cafes, not too bad to hitch back, friendly farmers even give you a lift.
Cannot believe there are 6 votes for the Cheviots, am I missing something or has Ronnie opened his war chest?

to be fair i have had 3 of my most memorable flights in the cheviots
titlington flying to the coast
moneylaws flying almost to the cafe with chriss foster and looking down on cheviot.
this year flying from moneylaws to the back of east hill and almost i climb out again, and then a 3 hours in the cafe in the sunshine.
some great evenings at east hill followed by a pint in the cafe, all making the flying day complete.
sometimes i think over the last five years and hearing the stories and it seems we have lost the real reason why we fly and that is just to fly and be out with mates.
cheers gary

It's just that they are all hang gliders and don't like carrying up big hills so they stick to the CheviotsJim Bittlestone wrote:Dales for me, the hills are smaller but have good potential for xc without too much sea breeze/airspace/grouse/horses to ruin the day.

If Acro was easy they'd call it Cross Country
