Club Night Back on 1st WED of Month free food and strippers!

Post by GlennP »

I was expecting a big announcement on the forum about the move back to a regular 1st WEDNESDAY night of each month slot (except December) and the free bar meal for the first 25 CLUB MEMBERS through the door.

No major announcement or is it tucked away on the same page as the HG Comp announcement?????

Since the constant changing of the club night is said to have contributed to a massive drop in numbers (to only 6 people sometimes) I thought there would be fireworks and a brass band to celebrate the return to normal business. Nowt.

So just incase ......The club night is back on the 1st WED of each month.

2 bar meals for £8 and Fosters at £1.99 a pint. Come and meet up with old friends at The Cornerhouse on the Coast Rd.

PS I made the bit about strippers up.

I won't bother now then I had been putting something together but working all hours ment it wasn't going to happen overnight.

Like has been said we are back to Wednesday and we are back to the old agreement that we dont have to pay for it. As has been mentioned the next meeting is the AGM we have the room from 7 o'clock and the first 25 that want a bar meal from the 2 for 8 quid menu is on the club to celebrate

This is mainly down to the hard work of your Chairman Gary Stenhouse.

Just to note both I and Gary have said we are willing to stand another year if you lot want us so you need not worry that you'll be pressured into a job that you don't want.

Come along enjoy the food and voice an opinion

I won't be continuing with the job of competitions secretary that I inherited from John Wallis, so if anyone is interested in the job, please come along to the meeting and volunteer or make your interest known please.
I'm more than willing to pass on all the info and programs to run the scoring.
Big thank you to Gary and Colin for offering to continue for another year.
See you out there!!!!!

I am also standing down as social secretary having done this for a few years now I think we could do with someone new to take over with renewed enthusiasm.

announcement

Sorry Colin wasn't trying to jump the gun or steal your thunder.

Put the post on because there'll only be complaints if people aren't told with as much notice as possible, in words of one syllable and with a map to the venue done in crayon.

Hope you can get the deposit back on the brass band and keep the fireworks for bonfire night or new years eve.

cheers,

glenn

my goodness all these resignations in a recesion, i mean, how can so many be able to give up such prestigous jobs?

i mean i have am now CEO of the nhpc and this is now on all my letter heading as well pilot and captain of 3 types of aircraft.

its a good job the entertainments is jacking in as if he did not turn up at any more meetings the p45 was coming.

come on we have made it easy for you by taken up two of the main jobs so get yourself along and support your club.

without the support we have no club without a club we have no sites and no body to fight for us and help train others as well as be part of the network of freeflyers we are geordys and should be proud to rome frealy accross all other clubs sites.

cheers CEO

Just in case anyone is in fear of getting lumbered with entertainment i think the idea of it being spread accross a few members has been suggested so not just 1 person is expected to come up with new ideas.

If i could get terry to do an acro pressentation would anyone living closer to newcastle be able to put him up.

talk

Post by GlennP »

I wonder if Colin might do a talk on his SIV/Acro course in Olu.

He's posted some great clips on Facebook and I'm sure there is plenty of other great flying footage in there. Knowing what Colin is like with computers I'm confident he could do a fantastic presentation.

No pressure.
