Doh!!!

Post by Dave Hume »

Okay guys, so it was up there in big letters on the home page, but I never stop to look at this page and just go straight to the forum. A posting up here that last nights meeting had been changed would have been nice, and saved me a wasted hour and a half round trip. I wasn't the only one, Steve didn't spot it either.

Anyway, isn't it a bit soon after the change of date to be messing about with the meeting again??

Dave its on the front page, its in the diary and it was discussed at the last meeting that nearly all of the commitee and usual attendees would be indisposed I apologise that I havnt put it on the forum but i have been putting the date on the home page for quite a few months now. If you were not at the last meeting than it would be abit silly to take it for granted nothing had changed considering thursdays arnt exactly set in stone yet its just a suck it and see for now.

Hold on Colin, just noticed a mistake, it says next meeting Thursday 10th May, instead of June. Can't find it in the diary either......

Sorry to be a pain.

Ok it does say the 10th of may TYPO but it does explain that its because of the LCC and other commitments which im sure everyone knows is this month and if you click on the calender link link at the top of the page above you have no new messages I think youll find the meeting is in there I did put on the forum some time ago that i had created this page instead of the pdf page but i cant be held responsible for how current everyone stays.

What i will do though so there isnt anymore confusion is if there is a change from the first thursday of the month i will mail everyone on the forum, but again thats only as good as how current you keep your mail address which not everyone does.

But the fact that only 2 turned up suggests most got the message anyhow.

i must say i was on holiday and actualy asked mad dog to do the meeting as i did not know it had changed. i think we should try to do a bit more mail shot to get the message out there as well so even less of a chance of problems.

cheers gary

Oh yeah absolutely. I wasn't getting at Colin. It was really as there was just two of us turned up who didn't know, there were obviously plenty of people who did know, so a quick reminder on the board by anybody in the know would have taken 5 seconds and saved a lot of aggro....

.......you know.
