OK Guys and Girls ....Andrew Maltby

Post by John Wallis »

My great friend Andrew Maltby is soon to depart to work in Rome for the foreseeable future. This is not only bad news for me but bad news for Steve Giles who has made a good living from Mr Maltby and his changes in gliders/kit/harness' /varios/GPS/ Boots/Reserve/etc etc.

It could be a very long time if at all that Andrew returns to the UK to work in aviation and it's very sad for me on a personal note because we go back such a long way and he's been such a great friend to me especially last year. We are going to have a drink in the Lion and Lamb at Horsley and I would like to invite everyone to come and have a drink and see Andrew off. The Lion and Lamb do great food if you want to make a night of it or maybe just turn up for 10 mins to say SeeYa.

Thursday March 4th 20.00 to 20.30 at the Lion and Lamb Horsley see map below.

Please make the effort and and give this great guy a send off from the NHPC.

I definitely can't make it John but, could you please wish Andrew all the best in his new post.
Losing a pilot with his experience and knowledge is a great loss to this club but a great benefit to any Italian club that gets his membership.
Good luck Andrew.

I m in Spain so can't make it. Wish Andrew all the best for me.

I also owe him a tenner but I guess he will want Euros instead.

We re losing a club member and friend but on the bright side we've gained free accomodation in Italy. Always a silver lining.

All the best. Glenn

Hey guys a big thank you to you all that turned up at the Lion and lamb tonight. Andrew was well pleased to see so many made the effort. For those that couldn't make it you missed an invite to stay 4 Min's from the sea 15 Min's from the airport and one hour thirty from Monty Cucco flying site :)

Cheers
