should be fine but may of done in my tendon too thumb see specialist tommorow for thumb ang skin specialist for the skin as there is a fair bit missing and the stiches my not hold so may need packing.

glad to hear that Gary hope you heal quick enough for the next decent flying day and your tendons dont cause too much trouble.

when i have more time i will put the video on as i had my video running, all looks good untill i fell to the ground through wind sheer and i let out too much causing lift under the wing the video says it all and my screems say it all so not very nice as i think this was as close to my maker i want to be.

no good news at the hospital going in for opperation on wednesday for hand ligament reconsrution and the legg not looking so good plaster for 4-6 weeks.

In my experience Jill it is always the landing and never the rough air

But I do know what you were really asking.

Gary I wish you a speedy and full recovery - This time take it easy and do not rush the recovery process just to get back into the air.

Gary...........Can't believe it, still in the Lakes and just heard, hope you get well quickly (do you need another book to read?) Stick to the floppies
and get the vid. online sounds like some good crash and burn footage.

Glad to know you are getting treatment really quickly. Sounds like the NHS has pulled out the stops.

Just finishing the Judy Leden book if you need any more reading material. It's full of scare stories.

I screamed like a girl (sorry ladies

) when I was hit by a car whilst riding to work on the motorbike. Rolled round in the oncoming traffic deafening only myself with my cries reverberating inside my helmet. Then lay in the ambulance afterwards thinking "i wish i hadn't done that, bikers are supposed to be hard". Shit happens.

Hi Gary, checked out the video and it looks like to me when you hit strong sink and the ground came up fast your left wing was slighty down so when you began to flare this immediatly created a left turn down into the gully

More so with high performance wings its very important to get the wing level before attempting to slow down.

I'm sure next time you will land closer to the cars on top, most of the accidents on Crossfell in a southerly wind have been with landing to far back & near the gully.

Nothing wrong with screaming mate, I did crashing on the dunes at Walkworth

i reckon your so right as when you sea on high resolution you clearly sea the wingsarnt level, i must admit i was caught off guard when i sank out as i thought i had another second to line up. a very good lesson and i think other than showing the end would a good training video fot studentsabout the importance of keeping the wings level

Hey where are these negative thoughts coming from? If Misk can fly with his landing gear in a pot, then I'm sure Gary can manage with the stearing wheel in a pot.
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday not looking good, so that's a decent rest, but the weekends shaping up.
I'm certain we'll see him on the hill on Saturday. I'll get Julie to make up a glove to fit the club!

the opp hasbeen now delayed untill thursday, but with a bit of look the hand is not as bad and will not need opperating on. and the legg isn't realy been stripped and i then wake up and its all a dream.
