2009 Team Competition

As John mentioned in another post we will be drawing the names out of the hat for next years teams at the January meeting,,,,,,and,,,,,,presenting the prizes for this years comp!!!!!!!

If you want to be included in next years comp, which will be run on a similar basis to this year, sign up below.

Come on folks, sign up for the fun, we've only got enough for 3 teams at the moment, we need more people to make up the teams to get the rivalry going!

Ok, we are a little lighter on numbers this year, but do have some new faces in the action, so welcome to them and here's hoping for an exciting and competitive season.
The underlying principal of the competition is to encourage pilots to fly together, encourage new pilots into competition and for the more experienced pilots to lend a hand. To reflect this, there will be a couple of rule changes this year.
Prizes for last year will be awarded at the January meeting, when the draw will be made for the teams for this year.
Currently I am looking at 5 teams of 5 pilots, but this could change up until the last minute on Wednesday if we get extra competitors.
Team members will choose a team name.
• The competition will take account of flights from 1st January 2009 until the last weekend in November
• Each pilot in the team will have their best 5 flights scored by OLC Km to count.
• Flights completed by two team members together will have their total score doubled. Pilots are responsible for reporting the flights to me.
• Flights completed by all team members together will have their total scores trebled. Pilots are responsible for reporting the flight to me.
• Competition standings will be kept up to date on a monthly basis and reported at the club meetings.
