Sky looks good in SW from where I am I can just about see cloud conditions W of X fell. Suspect it might be a tad breezy for floppies though.

Did you get flying then Dave? was pretty windy at Tailbridge, we had some good soaring, a tad windy, but its good to blow the cobwebs off.
Gary Stenhouse and his bunch were at Cross Fell and after talking to him it sounds like they had a canny day, Gary landed in Melmerby village so I lied to him and told him four lads had went over the back of Tailbridge

was realy a cracker of a day with 3 smal xcs with one over 10k max distance my first xc saw e pinned at melmerby as tried to go round the back to high so had to land. i then went down the bowl and took off and hada other half hour and landed at the football pitch in melmerby, i then got jeeves to pick me up and went back up for a other flight this time i managed to get half way to the golf bowls and than back over to melmerby bowl and off over the radar masts landing down by the hairpinns. what made it more perfect was tony anderson was driving past and picked me up and ended up at the cafe with a nice hot chocalate. we all ended up in the cumberland in alston with a well deserved meal .

great crack and yet another great experience with sailplanes, even got photo of brian and 2 sailplanes beneeth me.

Yes, maybe one of the last days of the season, with nice smooth air to drift around in, everyone having a smile on their faces, even the retrieve driver had his moment of fame,,,,,,,who els got as high over Man at Edge while answering his phone? (what do you mean I've got to land and come and get you two AGAIN!:x )

Great to see Paul and Rich back in the air, with Clair looking on with interest, I'm sure it won't be long until the sky's are graced with the 200 hour red ribbon again! (y)
See you out there!!!!!
