Have a look at this amazing footage from 1979 of David Cook on his VJ23 powered hang glider. Just look at the size of that prop! Amazing it got off the ground. Rare footage from the very earliest days of microlighting.

Dave I've got photos in the house somewhere with this guy and this aircraft. He came to the town moor in 1979 (Exibition Park) as part of some show? The NHPC had a stand just beside him and we all acted as his ground crew. I still don't know how he got it airbourne as it was a heavy thing to lift. Next to him was Ken Wallis with his "Little Nellie" gyrocopter from James Bond.
