Club holiday 2017

Post by berow »

Hi everyone. Moira and I want to ask who is interested in a club holiday next year. Following on from the Italy trip this year which had the potential to be truly amazing, is anybody interested? Moira has offered to organise it so what do you say. Once we have an idea of numbers we will propose locations, time of the year etc. If you have a preference please post it on this thread.

yup, i'd be up for it. The best places i've been are Laragne, Annecy, Algodonales and Alicante (Nick at Doyouwana). But i'd be happy to try somewhere new.

Holiday 2017

Me and Viv would be pleased to attend a international trip flying and with the responses to date, I'm sure there is a wealth of experience's to find some where that all can injoy. This is just the tonic to keep you going throughout the dark days of winter. AMERSO ( I CERTAINLY AM ) 8)

The prosal from Moira and I,is to join the free flight academy in Algo on the 3rd of June. The cost is £525 including transfers. This doesn't include food or flights.Accommodation looks wonderful and the min group size is 6, maximum 10.( Our proposal is a week later if we can't get this week booked )
We need to get a wiggle on so that we can confirm the booking as there is interest from elsewhere.

Cheers.

I'm away from 31st May to 5th June at the TT.
I wouldn't expect the dates to change just for me but if it turns out to be later then I'd still be interested.

Just to confirm. The dates are the 1oth to the 17th of June. On our return we have to leave early on the last day to allow the organisers to return us to the airport and give them time to catch a flight on that day for their next guiding trip.My understanding is the following persons have committed to this;
Brian Rowe
Moira Rowe
Ged Nolan
Karen Nolan
Trevor Robinson
Ron Donaldson
Chris Forster
Neil Smith
Louie de Varnt
Graeme Gilroy

Brian Day?

Can everybody confirm by Tuesday please.

Good question. To get the best out of the holiday it makes sense to be a pilot but Moira won't be fussed about flying everyday therefore I will take a solo for those days. See the link to the freeflight academy website and non flyers can decide if its suitable.

Hi Brian would love to come . ive had my holidays changed but still no good for those dates

Im not sure if ill be able t get away myself yet, but as an alternative to brians excursion to algo, does anybody fancy going to millau on 27th may ????. you can drive there in a day and a bit or fly from stanstead you dont need a guide so is considerably cheaper

hey brian ive just been searching for millau images and found this. for a moment I thought it was you

Sorry Brian, haven't got back to you. It's not really a holiday I would want to go on, I was hoping to meet up somewhere but that is to far south west for me.

Has anyone ever flown around Clermont Ferrand in the Central Massif of France? There's a site there with 360 degrees of take off option and isn't that far from the Alps?
See you out there!!!!!

Yep, Spain is a little to south for me as well. Like Brian I'm hoping to drive through the French and Italian Alps next year picking out the flying sites as I go. If anyone wants to hook up as an alternative to the Spain trip give me a shout .....may even be able to do a bit of XC coaching.
