interesting to see where i flew the most hours in 100

Post by gary stenhouse »

well a funny old year for flying with a lot of varied flying in many different places around the country. when I say Northumberland this includes cross fell range so here goes where I got them.

Northumberland 1840 minutes 30 .66 hours
north yorks 1161 minutes 19.35 hours
lakes 997 minutes 16.61 hours
spain 829 minutes 13.81 hours
Scotland 3 flights 644 minutes 10.73 hours
Dales 340 minutes 5.66 hours
Peaks 118 minutes 1.96 hours

just under 99 hours so you can get to see what it takes to do 100 hours in the north of England. so you can see why they say 25 hours is the average pilot who flies only local sites.

spain was best value for money as this was a 2 week break
Scotland was also great value as only 3 trips for almost 11 hours.

so it shows its worth travelling when the forecast is good the peaks was me cocking up as should of been at least 8 hours on two flights.

I am sure if the cheviots was not shut for most of the spring I am sure there would be more hours done up there.

cheers Gary
