**CLUB AUCTION**

Post by colin keightley »

Its only 4 weeks away and now is the time to start digging out all that old tat, I mean all those old gems that you no longer use and get it to the November meeting. Those not familiar with the format, you can donate the item to the club to be sold or you can donate part of the final value to the club.

Any items that have a reserve or only a portion of the final value is going to the club you must notify the auctioneers before the auction starts.

So please call in the those favors and go routing round your friends and neighbors cupboards if you have to.

Please if you have any items of specific interest post them to this thread.

We have the usual 2 First Class Virgin East Coast Tickets for auction (decided at AGM) courtesy of Graeme Gilroy (many thanks). These are return tickets to be used within the next 12 months from and to anywhere on the east coast mainline between Aberdeen and London Kings Cross. I've looked and these retail at around £850.

Just to note the Bike that was donated to the club to be sold for funds was sold, after the lack of interest on the forum I decided it wouldn't be a good idea to keep it for the auction, so the person who donated the bike sold it privately and donated the money instead which made £220.

If you cant make the meeting and would like to bid on any of the items please contact me and I can arrange either a maximum bid to be considered or give a callback when its up for auction.
If Acro was easy they'd call it Cross Country

For tonight:-

Kobo- all set up and ready to go

Laser helmet- hardly used. Silver

Blazewear heated gloves- lithium batteries!

Supair flying suit- lots of life left in it

Let's get some real money for these items! Would be great to see the money go towards more safety enhancements for the club.

Lance Armstrong signed 'Up close and Personal' book, love him or hate him his behaviour is part of cycling history and his Livestrong Charity does a lot of good work, unfortunately he's a family friend😱😱

Some cool brand new t-shirts and mugs, donated by a very nice printer man, AND to follow on from last years beard hat I've crochet a 'biggles' hat, made this with you in mind Gary thought you could add it to your collection, it took me hours and hours!!

Finally cookery books donated by JusRoll some Brand new this years Wimbleton stuff and a friend donated a brand new mobile phone (boxed) 😊
