Club Comp amber warning

Post by chrisfozz »

Conditions look favorable for some coastal flying this weekend and as we’ve not had a club comp this year we might try to fit one in Saturday or Sunday. At present Sunday looks a little on the strong side but as we know it can all change before then. I’ll post something more definite Friday evening.

I’m hopeful we can have a task at the coast tomorrow. Wind is forecast to be ENE 7 to 10 and low tide is ideal at around 14.40. It may be a bit light, but you never know.
We could start from Crimdon or Blackhall, I’ll post on the Whatsap group in the morning what’s the best option. If it’s on, and anyone turns up we’ll try to have a briefing at 12.00 and set a task.
There’s a link below to download some waypoints to add your GPS, click on the link and then “save this route”. We may use some of these tomorrow but don’t worry if you can’t do this, there are plenty of landmarks for an eyeballed task.
If there is any interest I would also like to have a novice task and possibly a ground-handling task

If Acro was easy they'd call it Cross Country

I know there may be some concerns about parking at Blackhall but in or around the small industrial estate has always been ok for me. There are usually lots of people around. Also, Blackhall offers more options for tasks if conditions are less than ideal.
