Hang glider with trike

Post by Paul Howey »

Hi..... it's been a fair old while since I did any flying. But I'm retiring next month and would like to get back in to it. Hang gliding seems to have been taken over by paragliding? I've tried microlighting but it doesn't have the same appeal so been looking at perhaps a HG and lightweight trike.
Has anyone got any experience with these? Or is hang gliding the old fashioned way or paragliding the way forward?
Thanks in advance

Hi Paul,

I think Trevor Robinson has recently done some flying on SSD microlight, he may be the man to talk to.

sub 70kg nano lights

Post by ron freeman »

Hi Paul, good to hear from you. There is a sub 70kg microlight called Nanolight. Flylight Airsports build them but they are expensive £8,000 all up !

Give them a call on 01604 494 459 Ben Ashman is the main man to talk too.

p.s still teaching hangliding and the performance of the modern wings are mind blowing !!
Maximise your time & dosh do both Hanggliding & Paragliding :)
