LCC acro videos

Post by gordie »

The first of no doubt many videos of what we managed to achive in Buttermere are starting to appear on the net. Please following the link to a friend of mines website who filmed the event for us http://www.cumbrialive.tv/ Scroll to the top of the vids and you will find a few from Saturay including the full run of Mr Felix Rodriguez attempt on the infinate world record form 10,000ft, finally pulling out at around 185 tumbles at around 3,500ft as the G loading became to much for his neck. I must admit to having the best if not the scarryest seat in the house holding onto Felix's D-Bag as he lept from the Helicopter Have got it all on helmet cam which will be edited when I get chance. Hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did :)

Gordie,

oh man...dunno what to say...I can't speak with this bloody gring on my face, I have not been able to take it off since friday afternoon.

This was indeed THE BEST WEEK END OF MY LIFE!!! and I think it was for many people which is the amazing thing. It was like an act of massive joy brought to the lakes.

THE BEST WEEK END IF MY LIFE, and for christ sake it was absolutely mental! how can all that people be happy at the same time. There was love in the air. The Lakes Charity Classic is nothing but Magic, and Mysterious forces make things happen.

I'm counting the hours for the next one.

Great work dude, and thank you for this, it was unreal, umbeatable, by anything else, than yet another LCC!!!!

2011...work starts today.

And they just keep coming..... Martin my mate from Cumbria T.V. live is still compiling some great movies for us. This one is a montage of Terry Stubb's acro run from both his helmet cam and Martin's footage: http://www.cumbrialive.tv/LoadPlayer-BL ... ore891.flv

I think it is a beautiful effort and gives a great feel of what it is like to perform such manovers in such a wonderfull setting.

I like the bit where he tells steve "i know you've got it under control man" when he got the collapse on one of the wingovers I saw it from the ground if I was the passenger I would have had clenched arsd cheeks
If Acro was easy they'd call it Cross Country

Please find attached a video made from the footage I got form my helmet cam whilst D-Baging Felix. I have left it unedited so you can all see how we perpaired for Felix's drop and to give you a taste of what it was like. We also have lots of proper footage from the helicopter as Felix decends aswell as having Felix camed up with a go pro HD. This footage will be edited into a documentry about the record attempt which may take a month or 2, our intention then is to enter it in various adventure film festivals.

These are great videos. So much fun to see our shared weekend from so many different perspectives and angles. Really COOL!

Even though you can't be in the A, B comps and coaching and acro all at the same time it is great to see the fun that everyone had together.

Loved the speed flying vid Chris.

Felix makes jumping out at 10,000' look like stepping off a low ladder. Doesn't even look where he's going or hestiate at all.

O.K. here you have it, the U.K's first ever infinite tumble.... Felix chilling out above Buttermere at sunset at the end of his first days flying. Do think he may of enjoyed the ride up more then the ride down though  Oh ye and I'm the muppet who forgot to get his glider out the chopper  http://vimeo.com/12583064

And yet another brilliant account of the weekends antics: http://vimeo.com/12563218
