Certain persons had a quick fly down from Latrigg too - it was cold but got us in the air amongst the snow flakes. 5 minute flight and 30 minutes wiping the mud off my harness after landing on my arse in Bitts park.

Neil Got this sorted after talking to Brian about his port settings. The port was initally set to com 1 which did not work even though it indicates that this is the correct port in the manual. If you go to extras in flychart then settings you can chose which port to connect to and it is the one that...

I suggest buying early as I can not see the £ strengthening any time shortly and people in the UK are going to have to learn to accept higher pricing. The £ has fallen by 20% against the Euro in the last 4-6 months and by about 25% against the dollar and is showing no sign of bouncing back. As someo...

Ground handling - Truck walking is not as easy as it looks

Windy day so off to the field to practice ground handling. I have got to say that that truck walking is not so easy but I found that it can be done if you let the vehicles slow down enough first!! It is unbelievable how turbulent the air can be at low level on a windy day with the glider was upside ...

Stealth Wing

You missed the whole point of the video that Gordy posted. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=r3RcvUvGcTY&feature=related The pilot did this on purpose to allow footage to get out from Russia of the new stealth wing. If you go to the last section of the clip you will see a pilot flying a stealth wing...

Remote Control

What people who have not done the SIV do not realise is that the actual manoeuvres are only a small part of the course. The reason why Jocky's courses are so good is that before you fly you are given a full briefing of what you are about to do, what might happen and what to do if all hell breaks loo...
