There's been a few of those cunimby things hanging around over the last couple of days. Yesterday at Blyth the wind was going from a light easterly to 40mph NW in seconds, real gust front stuff. I was testing out my Oudie and the vario was going crackers just before the wind came too. Time to take o...

Used to teach the full St Johns' ambulance first aid course, I've still got the whole teacher pack and resources, the little dolly cost a lot of money and enjoys a good kiss
Sure there's plenty of wipes in the bag with her Colin.
Suprised there's not more smutty jokes.

Sunday's flying at XFell,,,,,,,,,What did you learn?

I was asked by a pilot who has been flying a lot longer than me, who I respect for his flying and judgements, ' Do you think we push things further than we used to?' I knew immediately what he meant, which made me reflect on the day, my flying and the flying of others around me. I have to say, I saw...

Where's it gone?

That glimmer of a hope has all changed.
Monday has become Sunday, North East has become north west, Sunday has disappeared.
I wonder what will happen to Sunday now?
Well that's long range forecasting and glimmers of hope for you!
Still a long way off, it may all change back again.

Weather!

I've never seen anything like it! Has Xc and rasp run out of blue ink?
It's worth taking a look at Saturday's forecast just for a laugh!
I'm seriously running out of toys to play with in this weather, resorted to reading a book and watching the rugby yesterday.

brian your record flight was not the one your thinking of as that was 10.89k but you slaughtered that when you got in the convergence and went 11k in 24 minutes.
Ah yes, how could I forget such a memorable flight! :)

I'm sure the 50 will go this year at some point.

Maybe if you just looked at a population map of England it might be a bit similar!
Not everyone logs flights either, some are happy just to fly and enjoy the experience.

Sorry guys, I've been chasing a pair of 9s for John Miller for weeks. All the 9s went on the first round of sales, which is to staff. The only ones left when Simon was allowed to sell to 'very close friends' were 7, 7.5 and an 8 There's only this pair in a 7.5 and mid green colour in a 7 left now. U...

For sale, Salomon Fell boot

Sent up by mistake with the other boots. A pair of Salomon Quest 4dGTX size UK 7.5. These boots are from the test pool and Have been worn a couple of times. No marks or wear, but slightly dirty, nothing more than you would get from a couple of hours flying. The Quest is Salomons most popular boot, r...

Yes Ron, known to the surf community as Big O's, about 400m north of the small sandy bay with the stack in it is a gully with a UBoat, it's in about 5-10 ft of water at low tide, there's loads of underwater caves and tunnels to snorkel in too!
