Stevie G and I found ourselves on Grisedale Pike on Wednesday 11th, a most beautiful day even by Lake District standards. With a fresh breeze blowing and a couple of Bobcats to admire the scenery from we had a most fun time. I hope you enjoy our antics, and if you want a group hug then GET YOURSELF ...

Starring the one and only super enthusiastic Chris Little on his first full power speed run, it was his bloody daft idea as well!

Helvelyn speed flying

Had my eye on a line from the top of Brown Cove craggs for a while, the one which usually stops many an x.c. at the ice cream van. Went to check it out today but the low cloud prevented me getting in the Crags section, still managed to do the bottom half with the gully run. Left the music off the vi...

The sky was full of wave this weekend and I suspect this is why you had conditions which struck you as strange at Cross Fell. The weather is never strange, if you think that then you haven't put all the parts of the puzzle together and need to keep looking. Saturday had a strong inversion at around ...

Aye she's quick is that little 13.5m. All the dynamic flying is with trimmers on slow as this makes the wing more responsive and agile. When I go onto the glide half way down I let the trimmers off all the way to get as much straight line speed as poss, applying them again just before the last swoop...

Allelujah 100k Barrier final popped from a CSC site !!!!!!!!

After over 20 years of paragliding on our beautifull fells, finally on what looked liked an o.k. day Mike Cav unfurled his wing on Blease Fell ,took off and a few hours later landed just short of Tinto just over 101 k.m direct distance. For years this invisable barrier has stood in the way of our cl...

Summer solistice Skiddaw fly down

The longest day is nearly upon us and falls next Saturday/Sunday. In the north Lakes there is a tradition of walking up Skiddaw after the pubs shut form various sides and then meeting on the summit around 1a.m. for a few drinks a wee sleep and then an early morning fly down. Last time we did this to...
