France September?

Anyone fancy France in September. Two up for it so far, but the more the better.
I was thinking of about 2 weeks, driving down and Dover Calais ferry.
Anecey Aspres or Laragne or open to suggestion.

Well done Gary. Checked your flight and you managed to stay high the whole flight. Its years since I had a flight like that...infact it feels like years since I had an XC.

I use the old fashioned folded airmap, whichis great for the smaller XC, but a bit of a pain if you fly off the end of the fold. With all these intergrated vario/gps units available now, are there any that can store airm...

Headed back from High Cap in a good thermal ( one that was lifting all the way round - about a first I think for this year) Was about 1900`ato and over the flat bit at the top when the decision to go was already made ( good street down wind would maximise the chance of not being sunk out, although I...

And like a scene from Deliverance, someone trying to sqeeze a paddle into the crack. "Sqeal like a pig boy" in a deep south accent.
the hairiest moment of all which will (unfortunately) stay with me for life was the sight of Bills bare arse bobbing up and down in the river

By "Coxhoe" I assume you mean the North facing hill to the East of the A1, North of J61.(Cassop Vale). I used to fly radio control gliders from there years ago and got good height gains. The only problem I can see is the barbed wire fence just below where you would take off from. I think t...

New airspace can be penned on and I only replace mine about every 5 years.

Wish I had had a camera there today. He took off, did a circuit and crossed the runway at 90 degrees just below the hanger. The engine cut and we all ran for cover before the engine picked up again and he gradually climbed out to just clear the trees. Dave Hume still had the shakes half an hour later.
