Club BBQ 2017 Milkhope 02/09/2017

I think the general consensus lately is that spending club funds on social events and such, is a waste of our bank balance. So someone has worked hard in securing funding to pay for Milkhope. So as the title suggests it has been booked for 2nd September. So bring your own drink and Food, charcoal wi...

Flyability Funding

A final decision will be made at the march meeting on whether to proceed with a bid for funding for flyability or not. As many will already know there has been a drop in interest of those who wish to participate in making this work. Please answer the poll so that we can best make a decision.

January Meeting Postponed

Apologies for the lateness of this but I need to postpone the January meeting till February.

Due to my wife Julie falling ill I will not be able to attend and as January is usually a poor turnout anyhow it seemed sensible to postpone.

Important Please Read This First

It is important to note that Northumbria Hang-gliding and Paragliding Club does not support the activity of Powered flying. As such none of its sites should be flown with power. Please try to avoid over flying sites where paragliders are flying as it is the landowners natural assumption to think he ...

Just to be clear Ron...... Nothing has changed When I initially posted about Lordenshaw both the Landowner and the Tennent were in agreement that we could use the site. What I didn't explain properly is that before we could fly we needed to contact the gamekeeper about what had been agreed and to fi...

I'll wait for the minutes but I'm almost certain that I asked at the meeting if there were any objections to Lordenshaw being members only and there was none. Also a poll was ran on the forum which I think was almost unanimous that it was to be members only.

LORDENSHAW**IMPORTANT**

It would appear that my earlier posts about Lordenshaw have created a little confusion. After re-reading my original post it could have been written a lot better to be as informative as possible. So as it stands now Lordenshaw is NOT yet open for flying, we expect to commence flying in Feb 2017 and ...

Weather Station

So as some of you may know Christine Nicholls acquired a weather station it would be a good idea if we could rig it up as a standalone setup to place on a site, is there anyone in the club who would like to take up the challenge of putting it together. I will be proposing that the club pays for equi...
