Xmas night out

Trying to contact Prima but for 2 days they've been engaged!
Not sure if anyone is already sorting this?
I was thinking of the 16th December, booking for 15? 20?
I know Julie was looking into this but not sure if anywhere was booked?
Cheers

Have you changed the rules to allow powered PG flights on xc league as well?

Totally disagree. Any club member should be able to enter any club comps, what they do elsewhere is up to them. Tonys had a great year, happens to live in Cumbria, supports 3 clubs i beleive, good on him. To change rules or enter new rules at the 11th hour is not on in my view. Just my opinion and m...

now im a bit confused. Tony can be a member of as many clubs as he wants and enter the national xc league for any one of those clubs surely? The flights he or any other member puts on the nhpc league count towards any nhpc competition surely? The flights are measured using open distance. Can someone...

Not sure how to do a poll either for December meeting.

I like Pena Rubia too, at the top of a steep cliff, flew there last year with Paul and Rich. Nick set a task to the local castle and back or if getting back was too tricky we were to go xc but stay in the valley so he could find us. It was a great day, although limited by having to stay in the valle...

Nice one Brian, looked good flying over Pillar, Kirkfell and Gable.
Great attitude with the frontal, obviously not fazed in the slightest. Good vid, liked it, shame about the bits that were lost.

Dales for me, the hills are smaller but have good potential for xc without too much sea breeze/airspace/grouse/horses to ruin the day. Dales pilots are good crack too, good pubs and cafes, not too bad to hitch back, friendly farmers even give you a lift. Cannot believe there are 6 votes for the Chev...

Hi James, I've been flying for two years now and love this sport. One of the reasons I love it so much is because I have had the right training and learnt so much from some great instructors. They taught me at a rate to satisfy even my "get on with it already" attitude, to a point where on...

Hi All,
Anyone interested in an October trip to get a bit of late season flying in? Had a great time in Alicante with Nick at Doyouwanna for two years and he is good value in my opinion.

Ski Touring

Hi All, Thinking of putting together a ski touring trip to the Alps next April / May. Either the Haute Route or another hut to hut tour similar to it. This would be a fairly lightweight, small group, either on Alpine or Tele gear for a week or so. Gear can be hired if you dony have it. No guide, jus...

Very interesting write up Kitt, cheers. Observation is so important. The really good pilots are doing this constantly, looking and understanding, this seems to me to be the main thing we underlings need to improve, to break through from obscurity into paragliding stardom to join mad dog himself.
