Can a non-member attend Gordie's talk - since I missed it when he gave it in the lakes?

I need to pay my dues to you guys, but I'm going to be gone most of next summer :( so thought I'd save myself a few quid and join for spring 2011.

Wow! (cache) little bit too much of that last tree for me! If you get it wrong, you sure don't give yourself many landing options on the way down - but I guess that's not really an option is it? Can you slope land one of those things?

Sure wish I could have made your CSC club night talk. Though the wife isn't too pleased to hear my talk about wanting to buy Chis L.'s bobcat. I'm sure if I attended she'd probably lock me out.

I have an O2 XDA with GPS and I have memory map loaded on it which I have used to track a few of my flights. I always fly with my Garmin as well. The O2 GPS doesn't take readings very often and I can't adjust it, so would never use it in a competition. The memory map software seems to be OK, but I h...

In one of the XC magazines there was a short article about someone developing software for the iphone specificly for paragliding. They had links to download the software and needed testers, but I can't remember which issue.

I bought the altirando XP this spring, a lighter wing (Aspen I), and lighter reserve. I went from carying 22+ kg to about 16kg. My back, legs and lungs are much happier. Davehorn has an altirando as well, so might be good to get his oppinion. It's comfortable, I get good feedback from the wing throu...

Would have loved to have had a pic of the pigeon on your wing.

Saw a buzzard dive bomb a paraglider on Bewaldeth and tear it with his talons, but no pigeons on a wing before.

Hi,

This is interesting. I have heard about these huts, but haven't found where I can get information about them, where they are located, how much they cost, etc. Does anyone have a good website listing them? do they all charge? I was told that there were some free.
