Have never heard John mention that flight, ever!

On a more serious note, I ask every year but any chance trying to
re-negotiate Loredenshaw until the end of May or so? It offers the best potential for a long XC from the Cheviots.

Hi Bill, you'd make a killing on the taxi's down here. They charge to come to your house first then the onward fare! Mentor was really nice to fly, the most popular make down here though is Swing gliders, particularly the Mistral 6 which is a very good looking machine(and nice colour scheme's!). Lar...

Bought a Gin Sprint but it's still in the UK so had a demo Mentor 2 yesterday. The shop only had the small size available(at the top of weight range +) which made the flying very sporty, was able to centre brilliantly! After not having flown for so long it would be difficult to give any meaningful r...

Greetings from Rome!

Finally got back into the air today after a lay-off of over a year! Fantastic days flying at Norma(south of Rome), first take-off turned left straight into a thermal with 20+ gliders!! Conditions today were similar to a uk summer with temperatures of 20C and pleasant thermal flying. Able to fly seve...

Thanks Jan,

I'm home a couple of times per month so I'm able to pick kit up in the UK, but thanks anyway. Think you'd enjoy the flying down here by the look of it!

Try Geoff Wilson. I believe he's been to a site near Alcudia. Mountains to the north end of the island are very impressive but I've never seen any paragliding there.

The airspace around Newcastle is designed to keep commercial flights inside controlled airspace at all times during departure and arrival. An encounter with a commercial flight would be unlikely providing you comply with the airspace restrictions. More importantly unregulated airspace between Newcast...

Flown there several times in the past(1980's!). It's good when the wind is on the slope but will not tolerate any variance in direction or strong winds. Can be very turbulent mainly due to higher ground in front.

Looks to be still flyable as wind turbines are behind the hill.

Also Ron is suggesting the Ozone challenge.
