There was a Kestrel on Blease last time I flew there - just hovering alongside the ridge. I was scratching away, somtimes above, sometimes below - fantastic as he (she?) was hovering there for what must have been 5 minutes or more :) :) The point - it wasn't the slightest bit bothered by me or the o...

So that's where the NHPC were :???:

Same story at Cross Fell - got a good soaking but enjoyed a good punt around after that in the company of Mike Harper, James Jackson and Tony Eadington - all CSC show and all-floppys show. (ninja)

I cant see wood for the trees with this one. Apparently Jack is very good and I would dearly love to make sence of it,. Could any of you regular users of Jack post some sort of idiots guide to using it. Where to look? What to look for? This page for EG? http://s214580749.websitehome.co.uk/STARS.htm...

I have a 5020 Pete. Agree about the "user guide", though you can figure it out with a bit of perseverence. I haven't used mine for routes or comps (apart from the LCC in June) so there's a lot I don't know, but I'll help if I can. One thing - it's survived several draggings so far, so it's...

I'm sure even I could have XC'd to Brecon or beyond but my (non-driving) wife was on the hill with me. That's how I got some decent photos 8)

Cross Fell Tuesday

X Fell came up with the goods Tues evening. 14-16mph nice dynamic lift off High Cap plus bouyant air up to 3.5k before deciding it was all looking a bit too big. Big ears and sweeping turns down to land followed by splendid pub grub in the Fox at Ousby with the missus. Can't get better than th...
