I'm Cumbrian and part Yorkshire pikey so can quite understand why you'd wish to lower the bar by excluding non homegrown pilots and and X fell/Model/Carleton from your official sites list.

The DHPC coaching is members only. Currently there are about 24 pilots signed up for coaching and this tends to grow during the summer months. Usually I get lost in your writing John ..... Dali-esque treks through youth, the universe and everything. But .... that piece of writing was superb; so different from the usual flight reports. I think it deserves a wider audience .... too often the mags don't reflect what the rest of us mortal flie...

As I wrote the entry criteria, perhaps I should clear up your confusion. As most of you know I am fairly relaxed about applying "rules" so don't worry about taking everything too literally. I see the entries as they come in and if there are any problems we shall contact people individually...

Bloody hell! That was in front of the west launch on Mt Borah. If I'd seen that before flying there I might not have felt so relaxed.

I better whisper this ....... I think I was the culprit who requested September for the CSC. I asked around those who were most likely to be attending and the earlier months brought out clashes of dates/events/holidays. A fair number suggested September as it, had "been so good last year" ...
