We went last year, and had a wonderful weekend, watching Alain Robert give a talk on his insane free climbing of buildings.

We will be going again this year.

The club meeting is an opportunity for members to meet socially, for new members to come along and learn what we do, and to have a pint in pleasant surroundings. A community centre is NOT going to work. It will not have the neccesary facilities. Lets get back to what the meeting is about - a chance ...

I have spoken with Gary, and we have agreed that the BBQ will now be on Saturday 17th July, three weeks later than ori...

An email has been sent to all of the other clubs:- The weekends comp is now Green! It looks like a classic flying day, so the plan is to meet in the village of Kirkland at 10:30am, parking by the church. Please do not drive into the village and upset the natives! We will arrange a shuttle to carry p...

The comp is cancelled for this weekend.

We think that Saturday is possibly flyable, but Sunday is definitely wet and miserable.

We have therefore decided to keep our powder dry, and hopefully next weekend or the weekend after will be better.

We will keep you posted.

The starting point is the pairing of pilots to form a “team”. ...

The Amber warning is now down graded to a 40w yellow lightbulb sort of colour. Paul and I have spoken, and think that there is less than a 50/50 chance of the comp going ahead this weekend. Saturday looks to W or WNW for cross fell, and Sunday looks rained off. So given there are still two weekends ...
