How to make crop circles. A beginners guide.

First find a field with ripe corn in it. A bit difficult at this time of year? Even with global warming? So if you have fallen at that first hurdle, get yourself down to Tailbridge instead, where you will find a bank of pristine snow, still about three feet deep, covering the whole of the front face...

Now now Gordie and Kitt! If you want to argue on our forum you have to pay...... :D At the risk of stepping on Brians toes, I would suggest a meeting next week, say Wednesday 24th, at either the corner house (I agree Henry - piss poor beer) or the Lion and Lamb (brilliant beer, but not as central) f...

I agree with Gary, that we should be looking at using Cross Fell, as this has by far and away the most potential. The problem then is that you have to wait for a weekend when it looks like it will be on at Cross Fell, which means making provisional arangements, and then possibly canning the comp onl...

Let us be proactive. How about the end of April? Let us get things started in the way we mean to carry on.

Brian has done a brilliant job so far on organising this, but needs our support.

I would suggest we have a meeting of interested people one evening at the corner house?

Good to see that the landowners cover has been extended to £5 million.

This was one of the things that Durham County Council was concerned about when we had the meeting about Horden.

Not that they have ever got back to us.

I think Ronnie is spot on here. The BHPA is effectively our "trade union", providing the buffer between "us" as free flyers, and "them", being the powers that be. In this case the CAA. Take for example the recent furore over transponders. Without the BHPA how would we a...

Can I suggest you check the Sportsguard insurance policy very carefully Gary.

I have looked at this before, and it does NOT include third party liability insurance for "motorised units"

Do you know what is the funniest thing Steve? I am sure if you had a road traffic accident where someone ran in to the back of you, then you would be first in the queue for compensation. As is so often the case, people have black and white views. You yourself admit that your view is not going to be ...

The basis on which a claim is made has not changed. The basic principles of negligence are still the same as laid down in the groundbreaking case of Donoghue v Stevenson. All that has changed is the basis of funding. Up until 1998, you either had to be very poor, and therefore able to qualify for le...

Read my post properly Steve. I said it was progress, but then went on to say that not all progress was good. And going back to your definition of parasite, you say it is gaining profit to the detriment of someone else. Who is the someone else? Their client? The person who's fault it was in the first...

I am interested Steve, how is the industry "parasitic"?

And it is good to see that you now agree with me about the IT guys, when only a couple of posts earlier you were saying the exact opposite.

I always like someone with firm convictions who does not change views on a whim.

How can "No Win No fee" agreements mean there are now more claims? You missed the original point Steve. If a claim is not winnable, then a "no claim no fee" lawyer is not going to take the case. The issue is the CFA mark up, where the fees can be increased by a percentage, to tak...
