I'm away from 31st May to 5th June at the TT.
I wouldn't expect the dates to change just for me but if it turns out to be later then I'd still be interested.

yup, i'd be up for it. The best places i've been are Laragne, Annecy, Algodonales and Alicante (Nick at Doyouwana). But i'd be happy to try somewhere new.

I know there may be some concerns about parking at Blackhall but in or around the small industrial estate has always been ok for me. There are usually lots of people around. Also, Blackhall offers more options for tasks if conditions are less than ideal.

good to go.

I’m hopeful we can have a task at the coast tomorrow. Wind is forecast to be ENE 7 to 10 and low tide is ideal at around 14.40. It may be a bit light, but you never know. We could start from Crimdon or Blackhall, I’ll post on the Whatsap group in the morning what’s the best option. If it’s on, and a...

Club Comp amber warning

Conditions look favorable for some coastal flying this weekend and as we’ve not had a club comp this year we might try to fit one in Saturday or Sunday. At present Sunday looks a little on the strong side but as we know it can all change before then. I’ll post something more definite Friday evening.

tomorrow at the coast

I’ve seen this phenomenon before, in the summer at the coast. If you looked at xc weather you could be mistaken for thinking it will be on at Crimdon tomorrow, I could be wrong but I recon it will be light and off to the north. The RASP screen shot predicts light winds at the coast (6mph) but more t...

Stanwell

Nice flying today at Stanwell Park but the forecast for tomorrow is not good so that could be my last day flying in Aus. I leave Saurday evening and with 11 hours time difference, I should be home for me Sunday dinner.
Some big waves today too, if you like that kind of stuff.

Stanwell park

View from takeoff and last nights flight from Stanwell park, nice spot. Unsurprisingly, the flying is completely different to what is was in Manilla, 1500ft above the sea and probably the smoothest air you could imagine. http://fozz.dyndns-ip.com/mytrack/tracks/googleTrackMap.php?fileName=Fozz145508...

Find a nice place to camp in the Cheviots, pick a weekend, get together and have a good time. - Oh yes, nearly forgot, raise some money for a worthy local cause.

Nice lady

From a few days ago at Manilla. Picture is of a very nice young lady in traditional Japanese (paragliding) costume. There is also a clip of her taking off, on the same flight, when coming in to land she flew into some power lines cutting off supply to some nearby farms. Next day, taking off from the...

Moving on

Left Manilla this morning at half nine to travel to Stanwell Park. I've got mixed feelings about leaving Manilla, the weather was crap to start with, wind then rain then wind and rain. I had seven days in a row with no flying. Still the crack was good, I made some new friends and met up with some ol...

The weather is not what I'd hoped for or expected, rain yesterday and today ha meant no flying, forecast is better for tomorrow though so fingers crossed. Thanks for the info about the Moyes factory Ron, I'm about 200 mile NW of Sydney at the mo but may end up down that way. I've got Woody's number ...

First day

Cautious first day in Manilla, with possible storms forecast for later I got off soon as possible. Conditions were quite nice in the air which was good given the lack of flying lately. I flew for about an hour, there was some development around so I pushed out towards the main road and landed. As it...

Well I’m off to Aus tomorrow. Heading for Manilla NSW where the flying is reported to be quite good. I’ve booked into the Royal Hotel for two weeks, then I’ve got another two weeks unplanned, I’ll just see how it goes but I’d like to fly some of the coastal sites. If anyone would like to get in touc...
